My humble website…
This website is for fellow geeks, friends and others that like to know what I am doing in my spare time. So first of all, a brief introduction: I am Niels van Dijkhuizen (aka NebulaH) and I live in the heart of a small country called the Netherlands.
Most of the subjects on this site have to do with my fascination with (mainly electronic) technology.
Since I’m not much of a blogger really, things on the blog-side of this site will probably progress slowly…
more about me:
Professionally I’m a Unix system administrator, but my focus and specialization is in ‘IT monitoring’ in a broad sense. I have experience with open-source tooling (like Nagios, Cacti, Xymon Monitor, etc.) and with proprietary enterprise solutions (like HP Operations Manager, HP Network Node Manager, and BSM) as well.
I have an electronic engineering background, but I primarily use that knowledge in my spare time. One of those results is my Cynthcart MIDI interface for the C64 (have a look at the Open-Projects part of the site). I like to modify old home computers and extend them with new features. I like to be creative in the digital domain too: the demo scene provides me a nice way to release some creative energy once in a while.
This should give you a brief overview of one side of my being.

Sorry for the inconvenient way of spelling my email-address (but as you probably understand, this is against spammers).
